A blue with no French equivalent.
Grown across Thailand and Malaysia, where the flowers color rice and sweets as readily as they color a cup. We keep it because no European flower gives this blue — the bleuet comes close in the field and nowhere near it in the pot.
Very mild and faintly earthy, close to a green tea without the bite. The color is the event: add lemon and the whole pot turns violet.
