Cut root, earthy and grounding. Grown clean, dried whole, and kept apart so it steeps to exactly itself.

About the herb
A root with three thousand years behind it.
One of the central herbs of Ayurvedic tradition, where it has been taken as a daily tonic root since long before it had a Latin name. The roots are lifted in autumn, washed, and cut rather than powdered so they keep their character.
Frankly earthy, a little bitter, with a horse-like warmth the name itself refers to. Good with milk and honey if you'd rather round it off.
