About the herb
Cut just before the flower opens.
Cut in a narrow window before the bud opens and in the morning, because the oil falls away as the day warms. Lavender is the evening herb, taken to quiet a busy head and long kept for tension headaches.
Floral and clean with a faint camphor lift. Half a teaspoon, at the end of the day, in a quiet house. Restrained on its own, and it perfumes our Calm, Sleep and Skin Glow blends.
