About the herb
The root that gives the cup its body.
Lifted in autumn, cut while still soft and best steeped cold because heat drives off the very thing it is kept for. Marshmallow is the softening root, taken for a raw throat and an irritated gut.
Faintly sweet and very mild, and it gives the water a soft, slippery body unlike anything else. Start it in the morning and drink it at night. Worth the wait. The smoothing note in our Digest blend.
